Collateral and Asset Verification is a specialized subset of Inventory Audits. When inventory secures a loan or a policy, an independent count and quality assessment protects the integrity of the record and the security these services are meant to provide.
Three levels of verification let you match the depth of the examination to the stakes of the decision: a physical count and reconciliation, a drawn sample with visual verification of species and quality, or a full sensory evaluation suited to specialty coffees traded at a high differential.
Level 1 · Inventory count
- Physical count of the bags present in the warehouse.
- Reconciliation of client count, warehouse count, and physical count.
- Verification of the ICO bag marks of the lot.
Level 2 · Sample with visual verification
- Inventory count as above.
- Representative sample drawn via standard practices.
- Visual inspection by a member of our staff.
- Species verified: Arabica vs Robusta.
- Quality verified against the client's description: sound standard, under-grade, or triage.
Level 3 · Sample with full sensory evaluation
- Samples submitted blind to our laboratory partner, with origin, exporter, importer, and location withheld.
- Evaluated in a laboratory environment by a panel of Q-graders licensed by the Specialty Coffee Association.
- Physical and sensory evaluation in accordance with SCA grading and cupping protocols.
- Scores evaluated against current market conditions and a price differential determined.
