Servicing
Know what your sample represents
Your arrival sample is part of your quality assurance program. We help you check that the sample represents the cocoa delivered, with independent sampling, grading, inspections, and clear, efficient communication when you cannot be on site.
We draw representative samples and grade against the standards your contract names. The assignment starts with your question about the lot, the location, and the decision you need to make.
Sampling technicians document the conditions present and keep your team informed. Findings and photographs help you understand the commodity in front of you.
We sample raw cocoa beans and cocoa product, including butter, liquor, cake, and powder. Grading follows ICE and Federation of Cocoa Commerce contract standards. The Federation of Cocoa Commerce is the European equivalent of the Cocoa Merchants Association of America. Our large-scale grading laboratory is also the official disaster-recovery grading facility for the Intercontinental Exchange.
